PROBLEM BASED LEARNING BERORIENTASI STEM CONTEXT TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF MATEMATIKA SISWA

Abstract

Berpikir kreatif termasuk kedalam keterampilan abad 21, khususnya termasuk dalam kemampuan 4C yang harus siswa miliki untuk dapat menghadapi tantangan global. Setting pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berorientasi STEM Context adalah gabungan dari model pembelajaran disertai inovasi sehingga kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dapat berkembang secara optimal. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan Problem Based Learning bernuasansa STEM terhadap kemampuan berpiki kreatif dan mengkaji dampak implementasi model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning bernuansa STEM terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan studi literatur. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengkaji beberapa artikel pada jurnal nasional dan internasional. Setting model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning digunakan agar siswa mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi secara mandiri ataupun berkelompok menggunakan pemikirannya. Permasalahan yang diterapkan di dalam model Problem Based Learning menggunakan soal-soal terintegrasi STEM Context. Siswa tidak hanya fokus kepada penyelesaian persoalan matematika saja, namun dalam menyelesaikan persoalan siswa dapat menggunakan ilmu lain yang termasuk ke dalam STEM agar kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dapat terasah secara optimal. Literatur pendukung juga menyebutkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning bernuansa STEM dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Lebih lanjut, implementasi model ini bisa diintegrasikan dalam bahan ajar atau video pembelajaran.
