Abstract

The research purpose to improve understanding of the concept and interest in class X student subjects uniform circular motion through the application of contextual approach to media-assisted virtual simulation. The research method using experimental study consisted of two classes X.5 as experimental class and X.2 as the control class. The final results obtained in the analysis of experimental class average values obtained post-test 76.53 of the pre-test 48.33 with a gain of 0.55. In the control group gained an average value of the post-test 67.78 of the pre-test 47.64 with a gain of 0.38. Analysis of student interest obtaining experimental class average 82.59% while the control class is 62.04%. The results showed that the application of contextual learning media-assisted virtual simulation effectively improve the understanding of the concept and interest in class X student Regular Circular Motion.
