The politicization of water refers to the ways in which issues related to water resources, access, management, and distribution become intertwined with political agendas, power struggles, and decision-making processes. Water marketization and politicization are two important and interconnected concepts related to the management and governance of water resources. The main finding of this research is that water marketization is being projected as the main remedy for ground water or land subsidence issue. The provision of water as a commodity is one of the political agenda that is framed through ground water issues at Semarang. Bogor itself is famous for its traffic jams as a result of the booming number of city transportation or public transportation, especially in the central area of Bogor. The Central Government together with the Bogor Government presented an urban transportation innovation program in the form of reducing and converting public transportation (angkot) into “BisKita Trans Pakuan Bogor” buses to overcome this traffic jam problem. This study aims to examine how the “BisKita Trans Pakuan” bus transportation policy is implemented. This research focuses on how the Bogor Government implements the “BisKita Trans Pakuan” bus program from planning to public policy evaluation. This study uses a mixed method or mixed method exploratory sequential design which begins with collecting and analyzing data in the form of qualitative, which in the next stage with the collection of quantitative data to strengthen the research results. The main weight of this study is on qualitative data. Sources of data are taken through data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, questionnaires, and documentation. A data validity test was carried out by data triangulation. This problem gave birth to various educational innovations, one of which is the A Better World Academy Study to improve the quality of education and the implementation of social campaigns in Jawa Tengah. The social campaign in Jawa Tengah aims to help provide facilities and infrastructure for Sanggar Genius Yatim Mandiri and provide awareness of the importance of education. This research uses qualitative methods in activities. Research data collection is obtained through primary and secondary data sources. Data validity techniques in this study use source triangulation and data analysis techniques and techniques. There is no election without money and politics. This research aims to describe real-world examples of money politics during the 2019 election, cases of money politics that occurred in society and impacted democracy, and future recommendations for the government. These conflicts stem from a complex interplay of economic, social, and cultural factors. This study sets out to discern the key determinants that shape the overall level of peace and stability within Central Java province. A qualitative descriptive approach is used to comprehensively investigate the factors influencing social vulnerability. The analysis of available data unveils an encouraging decrease in reported crime rates, reflecting positive strides in law enforcement and security measures. However, it is crucial to note that certain indicators suggestive of heightened vulnerability have exhibited worrisome trends. Factors like unemployment and poverty have shown an alarming upward trajectory, warranting closer examination and targeted interventions. Conversely, the declining trend in school dropout rates could be interpreted as a positive sign, potentially contributing to a more conducive environment within the region. This study underscores the need for a comprehensive understanding of the evolving dynamics of vulnerability and peace-building, providing valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders in Central Java and beyond.</p> Ridho Harta Widiyanto Widiyanto ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-10-22 2023-10-22 7 2 78 84 10.15294/upsj.v7i2.74861 The Interplay of Public Health, Politics, and Economics in COVID-19 Border Control Strategies: A Comparative Study of Brunei Darussalam, UK, China, Germany, and Australia https://journal.unnes.ac.id/sju/upsj/article/view/75374 <p style="font-weight: 400;">This study investigates the effectiveness of border control in containing the spread of COVID-19. Through a literature review and discourse analysis, the study examines the pandemic response of China, the UK, Brunei Darussalam, Australia, and Germany, with a focus on their border control policies. The data collected suggests that countries with closed borders were more successful in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in terms of health statistics, such as the prevention of infection, hospitalization cases, and death rates. Effective domestic public health measures, including mask mandates and social distancing, were also found to be critical components of successful pandemic containment protocols. However, the study also highlights the impact of domestic and international relations and political perceptions on shaping each government’s pandemic response. The role of the economy was identified as the biggest factor contributing to the government decision to close their borders, with regime type considered to a certain extent as it allows for less pushback towards policy changes. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta using qualitative methods. Collection of research data obtained through secondary data sources. Data validity techniques used method triangulation and source triangulation, and data analysis techniques were carried out by collecting data, presenting data, reducing data, and drawing conclusions from data. The results showed that the role of civic teachers in preventing bullying was divided into two, namely direct action, such as giving encouragement to victims of bullying. While indirect actions can be divided into two, namely, first, intracurricular actions, such as through brainstorming techniques, through role playing techniques, supervision techniques. Second, co-curricular actions such as holding delta cast interactive dialogue events, bullying counseling activities, and holding discussions with other teachers. The school's role in preventing bullying is the declaration of a child-friendly school and routinely holding FAS activities.
