GAYA HIDUP GURU SD DI KECAMATAN MRANGGEN, KABUPATEN DEMAK SETELAH MENERIMA TUNJANGAN PROFESI GURU (2007 -2010)
Abstract
Penelitian ini menampilkan gaya hidup guru setelah menerima tunjangan profesi guru, berkaitan dengan lingkungan sekolah dan lingkungan masyarakat. Selain itu juga mengisyaratkan sub sistem ekonomi yang berinteraksi dengan kehidupan sosial guru. Tujuan penelitian mendeskripsikan gaya hidup konsumtif guru SD di Kecamatan Mranggen, Kabupaten Demak setelah menerima tunjangan profesi guru tahun 2007-2009. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berlandaskan pada filsafat postpositivisme. Fokus penelitian adalah guru SD di Kecamatan Mranggen yang masih aktif mengajar di kelas. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Pengolahan data menggunakan model Interactive dari Miles and Huberman dimulai dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Sertifikat profesi guru berhak mendapatkan tunjangan profesi sebesar satu bulan gaji pokok guru. Perubahan sosial dan ekonomi yang terjadi pada guru SD yang telah mendapatkan tunjangan profesi guru, berupa perubahan dalam mengkonsumsi makanan, cara berpakaian, hobi/hiburan, bacaan sering dibaca, pergaulan, pekerjaan sampingan, fasilitas hidup guru, pengelolaan penghasilan, peran serta dalam organisasai dan hubungan suami istri dan anak. Dibandingkan dengan kelompok-kelompok sosial yang lain, maka gaya hidup konsumtif guru SD di Kecamatan Mranggen tidak terlalu mewah, namun juga tidak terlampau menderita. Peningkatan kompetensi dan profesionalisme guru SD di Kecamatan Mranggen dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa cara antara lain sebagai berikut: studi lanjut program strata 2, kursus dan pelatihan, pemanfaatan jurnal, seminar. Adapun empat kompetensi yang harus dimiliki guru adalah kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi profesional, dan kompetensi sosial.
This study examines the life style of elementary school teachers upon receiving their professional commission, regarding their school environment and neighborhood. In addition, this study identifies the economic sub-system which interacts with social life of the teachers. This study aims to describe the consumptive life of elementary school teachers of Mranggen Regency, Demak after receiving professional commission in 2007-2009. It employs qualitative approach based on postpositivism. Subject of the study is elementary school teachers of Mranggen Regency who are actively teaching. Data were collected by using observation, interview and document. Then, data ewre analyzed by using Interactive model offered by Miles and Huberman starting by data collection, data reduction, data display and data verification. Teacher certification legalizes teachers to receive their professional commission or one-month salary. The social and economic change in teachers after receiving the professional commission is that the way they eat, dress, enjoy leisure, read, socialize, do the part-time job, manage their salary, take part in organization and relate themselves with family. As compared to the other social groups, consumptive life style at Mranggen elementary school is not that glamourous, but also not too pathetic. The improvement of competence and professionalism of elementary school teachers at Mranggen Regency could be done by: pursuing master degree, undertaking course and training, writing journal, and attenting seminar. Four main competences that teachers should have are pedagogy, personality, professional, and social competence.
