Abstrak


Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pembelajaran IPS yang belum efektif, sehingga menjadikan hasil belajar belum optimal, tingkat berpikir siswa SD masih dalam tahap operasional konkret, belum dapat berpikir secara abstrak, sehingga diperlukan media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa memahami materi, salah satunya yaitu media pop-up book yang disampaikan melalui model cooperative learning. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji keefektifan media pop-up book pada model cooperative learning terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD Negeri Gugus Diponegoro Karangrayung Grobogan. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan desain quasi experimental design dengan bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji gain.Observasi penggunaan media menunjukkan rata-rata skor akhir ketercapaian kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (94,79% >79,17%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai thitung lebih besar daripada nilai ttabel (7,139 > 1,997) dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti ada perbedaan rata-rata antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Peningkatan kelas eksperimen terlihat dari rata-rata gain ternormalisasi yaitu 0,668 (kategori sedang) lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol 0,281 (kategori rendah). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah media pop-up book pada model cooperative learning efektif terhadap hasil belajar IPS.


This study based on the ineffective IPS learning, so caused students' learning achievement not optimal, moreover, the Elementary School (SD) students level of thought is in the operational concrete level, and not yet able to think abstractly, so there was a need of having learning media which could help students understand learning materials.One of which was pop-up book media used in cooperative learning model. By this description, this study was attempted to examine the effectiveness of pop-up book media in cooperative learning model towards IPS learning achievement of the fifth grade of State Elementary Schools (SDN) Cluster Diponegoro Karangayung Grobogan. This objective was realized by the use of quasi experimental design with the type of nonequivalent control group design. Further, the sample of this study were taken by using cluster random sampling, while the data collection techniques used were observation, interview, tests, and documentation. In addition, the collected data were analyzed by using t test and gain test. In the media implementation observation, it was found that the final average score achievement of the experimental class was higher than the control class (94.79% > 79.17%). Additionally, the findings showed that the tcount value was higher than ttable's (7.139 > 1.997) and the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 which indicated that there was a difference in the average of the experimental and control classes. The improvement of the experimental class was seen from the normalized gain average, namely 0.668 (fair category) which was higher than the control class as many as 0.281 (low category). In sort, this study concludes that the pop-up book media in cooperative learning model was effective towards IPS subject learning achievement.
