Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPA melalui model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada siswa kelas V SDN Sukorejo 02 Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Tiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi yang berlangsung selama tiga siklus. Subyek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas V SDN Sukorejo 02 Semarang . Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dokumentasi, wawancara, dan catatan lapangan. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) keterampilan guru pada siklus I memperoleh skor 27, siklus II memperoleh skor 29 dan pada siklus III dan memperoleh skor 33; (2) aktivitas siswa pada siklus I memperoleh rata-rat skor 22,3, siklus II memperoleh rata-rata skor 26,7 dan siklus III memperoleh rata-rata skor 31,3; (3) hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I mencapai ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 62%, meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 74% dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus III menjadi 87 %. Simpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPA pada siswa kelas V SDN Sukorejo 02 Semarang.

 

The purpose of the research was to improve science teaching and learning quality through problem based learning model for the students at fifth grade of SDN Sukorejo 02 Semarang. This type of the research is classroom action research. Each cycle consisted of four phases, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection that conducted in three cycles.. The subjects of the research were teacher and students at fifth grade of SDN Sukorejo 02 Semarang. The data collection techniques were observation, test, documentation, interview and field note. The data analysis used descriptive analysis. The result showed that: (1) Teacher skills in the first cycle scored 27, the second cycle scored 29, the third cycle scored 33; (2) The average of students activity in the first cycle scored 22,3, the average of second cycle scored 26,7 , the average of third cycle scored 31,3. (3) Classical completeness of students learning outcome in the first cycle was 62%. It improved in the second cycle to 74%. It improved in the third cycle to 87%. The conclusion of the research was through Problem Based Learning models improved science teaching and learning quality for the students at fifth grade of SDN Sukorejo 02 Semarang.
