Sexy Dance merupakan tari modern yang erotis, didukung dengan gerak dan busana yang sexy atau terbuka. Keunikan Alexis Dancer adalah pada bentuk koreografi gerak setiap bentuk gerak menggunakan istilah paket gerak dan gerak akrobatik diakhir pertunjukan. Sexy dancer mendapat kritikan dari masyarakat diketahui bahwa masyarakat tidak menerima keberadaan sexy dancer, kurangnya sikap apresiatif masyarakat terhadap sexy dancer. Berdasarkan paparan hal tersebut dan melihat keunikan pertunjukan grup Alexis Dancer, maka muncul beberapa pertanyaan mengenai bagaimana bentuk koreografi grup Alexis Dancer ? dan Apa motivasi penari Alexis Dancer ? Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis dan mengetahui bentuk koreografi Alexis Dancer dan mengetahui apa motivasi penari Alexis Dancer. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif yang memberikan gambaran secermat mungkin mengenai suatu individu, keadaan, gejala, atau kelompok-kelompok tertentu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan, dan verifikasi. Teknik keabsahan data yang digunakan yaitu triangulasi sumber, metode, dan teori. Hasil penelitian, pada bentuk koreografi menggunakan istilah paket gerak dan terdapat aksi akrobatik. Aspek-aspek koreografi atau pertunjukan yang meliputi gerak, iringan / musik tari, tata rias, kostum tari dan properti / perlengkapan. Proses pembuatan koreografi melewati sebuah tahapan yaitu meliputi tahap eksplorasi, improvisasi dan pembentukan/komposisi sehingga dapat tercipta gerakan yang sexy, enerjik, dan erotis. Motivasi penari Alexis untuk terjun dalam pekerjaan ini adalah berawal dari hoby menari dan sering datang ke tempat hiburan malam. Alexis Dancer mampu bertahan dan memberikan wadah penyaluran hobi bagi remaja yang ingin bekerja sambil berkarya. Saran penelitian ini adalah bentuk koreografi sangat diutamakan bagi seluruh pertunjukan sebagai salah satu cara agar tetap diminati masyarakat. Implikasi bagi dunia pendidikan, seni tari modern secara global dapat dijadikan sebagai media apresiasi pada kegiatan extrakurikuler di sekolah. Bagi Alexis Dancer, dapat lebih profesional dalam menjalankan pekerjaan dengan membuat koreografi yang lebih kreatif dan inovatif. Ekspresi panggung para penari agar lebih bisa dibentuk baik senyum maupun mimik wajah, karena menari harus sejalan dengan gerak, irama dan rasa serta penggunaan tata rias busana tari agar lebih kreatif.

Sexy Dancer of Alexis Dancer Group at Liquid Café Semarang with Choreography Study and Dancer’s Motivation


 


ABSTRACT


 


Sexy Dance is an erotic modern dance, supported by motion and sexy costume. The uniqueness of Alexis Dancer was in the form of choreography, every form of motion using the term of package motion and acrobatic motion at the end of the show. Sexy dancer got some critics from the public, it was known because the public does not accept the existence of a sexy dancer, and the lack of public appreciation toward sexy dancer.Based on the explanation and see the uniqueness of the Alexis Dancer group’s show, then some questions appeared about how the form of Alexis Dancer group’s choreography? and, what is the motivation of the dancers of Alexis Dancer? The aim of the research is to analyze and determine the choreography form of Alexis Dancer and to know what the motivation of the dancers of Alexis Dancer is. This research used descriptive qualitative method which gave a description as accurate as possible about an individual, state, symptom, or certain groups. Data collection techniques used in this study was observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study used data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verification. Validity technique of data was used triangulation of sources, methods, and theory. The results of the study, from the form of choreography used the term motion package and there were some stunts. Aspects of choreography or performances included movement, accompaniment / music of dance, makeup, costumes of dance and properties / equipment. The process of making choreography was passing through a phase which included the exploration, improvisation and the formation / composition, so as to create sexy, energetic, and erotic choreography. Motivation of the dancers of Alexis to engage in this work was started from their hobby and coming often to the nightlife spots. Alexis Dancer was able to survive and provide a place for teenagers’ hobbies and some of them who want to work while creating a work.
Suggestions of this study are form of choreography should be very principal aspect for the entire show as a way to keep people interested. Implications for education, modern dance globally can be used as a appreciation media in extracurricular activities at school. For Alexis Dancer, they should be more professional in carrying out the work to make the choreography more creative and innovative. Expression of the dancers onstage can be further formed such as smile or facial expression, because dance should be in line with the movement, the rhythm and flavor as well as the use of makeup and costumes to be more creative.
