Abstract

Hasil studi pendahuluan pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah I Melati Sleman Yogyakarta ditemukan sebanyak 62% siswa memiliki keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal cukup. Sebagai upaya dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal siswa, Guru BK memerlukan adanya model layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik permainan (games). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik permainan (games) yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal siswa yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan visibilitas di SMP Muhammadiyah I Melati Sleman Yogyakarta. Model penelitian ini adalah researc and development dengan pendekatan mixed kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil uji coba terbatas yang dianalisis dengan Independent Sample T-Test diperoleh perhitungan nilai t sebesar 4,734 dan mempunyai nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00 (p<0,05) sehingga dapat dinyatakan ada pengaruh yang signifikan (efektif) dari penggunaan teknik permainan (games) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal siswa.

The result of preliminary study at the 8th grade students of The SMP (Secondary School of) Muhammadiyah I Melati Yogyakarta was that 62% of students had average interpersonal communication skills. As an effort to increase the student communication skills, guidance and counseling teachers needed a model of game-technique group guidance service. The study objective was to develop a model of game-technique group guidance service that was effective to increase the student interpersonal communication skills that met the needs and the visibility of The SMP Muhammadiyah I Melati Sleman Yogyakarta. This study model was a research and development that applied a mixed approach of quantitative and qualitative. The result of limitted try-out analysed with Independent Sample T-Test showed that the t-score was 4,734 and its significance was 0,00 (p<0,05), therefore it can be stated that there was significant effect (was effective) of the use of a technique of games in increasing the student interpersonal communication skills.
