Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui pelaksanaan konseling kelompok di SMA Negeri Kota Magelang, (2) Mengetahui kondisi obyektif prokrastinasi akademik siswa, (3) menghasilkan model konseling kelompok dengan teknik self regulated learning untuk mengurangi perilaku prokrastinasi akademik siswa, (4) mengetahui efektivitas konseling kelompok dengan teknik self regulated learning untuk mengurangi perilaku prokrastinasi akademik siswa SMA Negeri Kota Magelang. Metode penelitian pengembangan (Researh and Development/R&D) digunakan dalam penelitian ini dalam tahapan yang mencakup: (1) tahap studi pendahuluan, yakni studi  literatur  dan studi lapangan; (2) tahap studi pengembangan, meliputi: analisis konseling kelompok dan desain produk awal pengembangan konseling kelompok, dan (3) tahap evaluasi, untuk menguji keefektifan dan kelayakan konseling kelompok teknik self regulated learning untuk mengurangi perilaku prokrastinasi akademik siswa yang dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian yang berjumlah 10 siswa dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Tingkat prokrastinasi akademik siswa mengalami penurunan secara signifikan setelah mengikuti konseling kelompok dengan teknik self regulated learning (t = 6,637, p < .01). Tingkat penurunan prokrastinasi akademik siswa sesudah diberi konseling kelompok dengan teknik self regulated learning sebesar 22%.


 


The aims of this study were to: (1) assess the implementation of the group counseling service at public senior high schools in Magelang, (2) assess students’ academic procrastination, (3) produce the model of group counseling using self-regulated learning technique to reduce students’ academic procrastination, and (4) investigate the effectiveness of the model of group counseling using self-regulated learning technique for reducing students’ academic procrastination of senior high schools in Magelang. Research and development (R&D) design was applied in the present study several steps, namely (1) step of preliminary study which was conducted by literature study and field study, (2) step of developing study which includes group counseling analysis, designing the hypothetical model of group counseling, and (3) step of evaluation which conducted by assessing effectiveness and feasibility of the products through pre experimental study using one group pretest-posttest design. Ten students was selected using purposive sampling technique. The level of students’ academic procrastination significantly decreased after accept invervention from the Model of Group Counseling Using Self-Regulated Learning Techniques (t = 6,637, p < .01). Students’ procrastination level decrease for 22%.
