Redefinisi Konsep Maskulinitas Laki-Laki Pengguna Perawatan Kulit Di Klinik Kecantikan Armina Desa Robayan Jepara

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya fenomena menarik bahwa perawatan yang identik dengan perempuan, saat ini juga dilakukan laki-laki sehingga muncul redefinisi konsep maskulinitas pada laki-laki. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui redefinisi konsep maskulinitas pada laki-laki yang menggunakan perawatan kulit di klinik kecantikan Armina Desa Robayan Jepara. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Penelitian Kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian berada di klinik kecantikan Armina, tepatnya di Jalan Raya Welahan Gotri RT.24 RW.03 Desa Robayan Jepara. Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan Konsep Maskulinitas yang dikaitkan dengan konsep Chafez mengenai area maskulinitas dalam masyarakat. Hasil penelitian yaitu terdapat tiga aspek yang mengalami redefinisi konsep maskulinitas. Ada aspek yang tetap, redefinisi, dan penguatan. Terkait aspek yang tetap terjadi pada aspek fisik. Kemudian aspek yang mengalami redefinisi terjadi pada aspek penampilan, aspek sikap, aspek perilaku, dan aspek karakter, serta aspek yang mengalami penguatan terjadi pada aspek fungsional. Pada aspek fungsional yang diinginkan tidak sekedar bekerja saja, melainkan pekerjaan yang mapan supaya semua kebutuhan hidup terpenuhi.

This research is based on a unique phenomenon which a care done by women, currently done by male so that appears redefinition of masculinity concept for male. The purpose of the research is to know the definition of concept masculinity in the male who use the skin care in the clinic beauty Armina in the villages Robayan Jepara. This study using the qualitative research. The location of the study were in the clinic beauty Armina, precisely at Jl. Raya Welahan Gotri RT.24 RW.03 in the villages Robayan Jepara. This study analyzed using the concept of the masculinity associated with the concept of Chafez about the area of masculinity in the community. The result of the research is there are three aspects that have redefined the concept of masculinity. The aspects is a fixed aspects, redefinition aspects, and reinforcement aspects. Related aspects that remain on the physical aspects. Then, aspects that experience redefinition occurs in aspects of appearance, attitude aspects, behavioral aspects, and aspects of character. Also, the reinforcing aspects occurs on the functional aspects. On the desired functional aspects, a person not only works, but does a steady job so that all life needs are met.
