The amount of sodium that the body retains can impact blood prduction. Via the sympathetic nervous system's activation, which causes blood pressure to rise intermittently, stress causes hypertension. A sufficient amount of regular exercise significantly lowers blood pressure in hypertensive individuals. Elderly people frequently experience health issues. Many of these illnesses are non-communicable diseases like high blood pressure. The Province of Lampung has a 31,9% prevalence of hypertension. According to data on hypertension in the Tanggamus district, 120,276 persons have the condition. The research objective was to determine the correlation between sodium consumption patterns, stress levels, and physical activity with hypertension in prolanis participants at the Rantau Tijang Public Health Center, Tanggamus Regency in 2022. This study used quantitative research using a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study were 63 people using the total sampling technique. Bivariate analysis in this study uses the Gamma test. The results showed a significant correlation between the level of stress and physical activity and hypertension with a p-value of 0,001 and 0,003 and no significant correlation between sodium consumption and hypertension with a p-value of 0,746.
Dwi Testi Ernawati ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2024-01-01 2024-01-01 5 2 10.15294/spnj.v5i2.66743 The Relationship between Consumption of Frozen Food, Sweetened Soft Drinks, and Stress with The Nutritional Status of Adolescents https://journal.unnes.ac.id/sju/spnj/article/view/64878
This study aims to determine the relationship between the consumption of frozen food, sweetened soft drinks, and stress and the nutritional status of adolescents at Pondok Pesantren Al-Hamid Cilangkap, East Jakarta. The method used is a cross-sectional design at the Al-Hamid Islamic Boarding School, Cilangkap, East Jakarta. The sample is 69 people. The data measured were frozen food consumption patterns, sweetened soft drinks using (FFQ) questionnaire, stress using (KPDS) questionnaire, and nutritional status measured using BMI—bivariate analysis using the Gamma test. The results of the study were respondents with a high frozen food consumption pattern (45%), high, moderate (17,4%), and low (37,6%), respondents with a consumption pattern of sweetened soft drinks (45%), high, moderate (17,4%) and low (37,6%). Respondents who experienced severe stress (45%), (17,4%) moderate stress, (7,3%) mild stress, (30,3%) no stress. The results of the bivariate test showed a relationship between consumption patterns of frozen food and nutritional status (p-value 0,000), a relationship between consumption patterns of sweetened soft drinks and nutritional status (p-value 0,000), and a relationship between stress and nutritional status (p-value 0.000). In conclusion, a significant relationship exists between consuming frozen food, sweetened soft drinks, and stress with nutritional status.
Fajrin Nabatah Bahar Puji Lestari Pradipta Kurniasanti ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 5 2 59 69 10.15294/spnj.v5i2.64878 Correlation between Energy and Protein Intake with Stunting Incidence in Toddlers https://journal.unnes.ac.id/sju/spnj/article/view/65323
Stunting is a nutritional problem that occurs in Indonesia. Stunting is a condition of physical growth failure caused by chronic nutritional problems that occur for a long time. This study aimed to determine the relationship between energy and protein intake with the incidence of stunting. This study used a cross-sectional study design with a sample of 41 toddlers. The results obtained were analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test and multiple linear regression tests. There is a positive and significant relationship between energy intake and the incidence of stunting, as shown by the correlation coefficient of 0,72 (p-value = 0,00); in other words, the better the nutritional status (not stunting). There is a positive and significant relationship between protein intake and stunting as indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0,79 (p value = 0,00), in other words, the better the nutritional status (not stunting). Based on the results of multiple linear regression tests, a coefficient of determination of R Square = 0,79 was obtained, which means that the variables of energy intake and protein intake affect the incidence of stunting by 79%.
Nia Feronika Purba Esi Emilia Juliarti Juliarti Erli Mutiara Novita Sari Harahap ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 5 2 70 77 10.15294/spnj.v5i2.65323 Relationship between Employment Status and Knowledge of Balanced Nutrition with Nutritional Status Students https://journal.unnes.ac.id/sju/spnj/article/view/73484
The Open University is one of the campuses of choice for students who work while studying. Limited time due to busy work causes nutritional problems. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between employment status and balanced nutrition knowledge with the nutritional status of Open University students. Cross-sectional research design with respondents totaling 84 people. The study was conducted from November to December 2022. Data collection using google form. The data is processed with the SPSS program and presented in descriptive form and correlation tests. The relationship between variables is analyzed with the Spearman Test. A total of 73.8% of respondents were employed and 26.2% were unemployed. The average nutritional knowledge of respondents was 68.78%. Half of the respondents had normal nutritional status, 38% overnutrition status and 11.4% undernourished. The results of the study did not have a relationship between employment status and nutritional status but there was a positive relationship between nutritional knowledge and nutritional status. The value of the correlation coefficient between the variables of occupational status and balanced nutrition knowledge is 0.312, which shows that there is a positive correlation and relationship between employment status and nutritional knowledge with nutritional status.
Marhamah Marhamah Esi Emilia Yusrafiddin Yusrafiddin Sondang P Pakpahan Regania Pasca Rassy ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 5 2 78 86 10.15294/spnj.v5i2.73484 The Relationship of Mother Characteristics and Childhood Nutrition Status to the Rough Motor of Toddlers 3-5 Years Old https://journal.unnes.ac.id/sju/spnj/article/view/73451
Toddlers aged 3-5 years are at an ideal period in the development process, especially in gross motor development. Gross motor skills are toddlers' ability to move by involving body structures and functions. The gross motor skills of toddlers can be influenced by several factors, namely maternal characteristics and nutritional status. The features of mothers involved in gross motor include knowledge, education, employment, and mother's care. It is also a factor in the nutritional status of children, so it will indirectly be connected to the child's motor.

This study used a cross-sectional design with purposive sampling techniques; the study sample comprised 37 respondents from toddlers and their mothers. The research was conducted at the Children's Poly, Kartika Pulomas Hospital, East Jakarta. The data measured were toddlers' nutritional and gross motor status using the DDST screening format.

The characteristics of respondents in the normal gross motor category were 16 toddlers (43.2%), while toddlers with suspected gross motor were 21 toddlers (56.8%). The bivariate analysis results showed that knowledge, maternal parenting, and nutritional status had a significant relationship with gross motor with a p-value of < 0.05. Age, education, and occupation had no association with gross motor with p-value > 0.05.
Erna Evi Susanti ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 5 2 87 99 10.15294/spnj.v5i2.73451
