Abstract

This study aimed to determine the positive influence of Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model which is taught in excretory system concept to student learning outcomes. This study was Quasi Experimental with nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Student learning outcomes were obtained from written tests, learning activity by observation sheet, student responses from questionnaire sheets, and teacher’s responses from questionnaires. The results showed that there were very significant differences in learning outcomes between experimental and control class. These results showed by the average of experiment class posttest score which was higher than control class and by classical mastery learning achievement of experimental class which was also higher (81%) compared to the control group (31%). Students and teachers responded very well to the applied learning model. Based on the results, Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model in excretory system concept positively affected student learning outcomes.
