EFEKTIVITAS TGT DENGAN QUICK AND SMART TERHADAP AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA

Abstract

Dalam rangka mewujudkan cita-cita pendidikan diperlukan pembelajaran yang tepat. Kenyataan di lapangan pembelajaran belum berpusat pada siswa. Hasil wawancara guru dan siswa diperoleh hasil belajar siswa rendah dikarenakan siswa kurang antusias dan berperan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Kondisi tersebut dapat diupayakan melalui model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) dengan Quick and Smart yang mengharuskan siswa untuk belajar dan memahami materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas TGT dengan Quick and Smart terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar materiSistem Pertahanan Tubuh di SMA Negeri 2 Salatiga. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pretest-postest control group design. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas XI IPA 3 (kelas eksperimen) dan XI IPA 2 (kelas kontrol). Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan aktivitas kelas eksperimen lebih aktif daripada kelas kontrol, lebih dari 80% aktivitas siswa kelas eksperimen tinggi, rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol,skor N-gain kelas eksperimen tinggi, tercapai ketuntasan klasikal yaitu ≥80% siswa kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai postest ≥75. Hasil ini diperkuat dengan tanggapan siswa dan guru sangat baik terhadap model pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa TGT dengan Quick and Smart efektif meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa materi Sistem Pertahanan Tubuh.

Reality showed that learning process has not been student-centered. Interviews of teachers and students explained low student learning outcomes were because students were less enthusiastic and less actively involved in learning process. The condition could be improved by Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model with Quick and Smart which requires students to learn and understand the material. This study aimed to determine effectiveness of TGT with Quick and Smart to Immune System concept learning activities and learningout comes in SMA Negeri 2 Salatiga. This study was done by pretest-posttest control group design. Samples were XI IPA 3 (experimental class) and XI IPA 2 (control group). Samples were taken by random cluster sampling. The results showed that experiment class was more active than control class, more than 80% experimental class’ students activity was high, experimental class’ posttest average was better than control class, N-gain of experimental’s score was high, more than 80% of students posttest of experimental group reached ≥75. These results were confirmed by students and teachers very well’s response to learning model applied. Based on this research, it can be concluded that TGT with Quick and Smart was effectively increase Immune System concept’s sudents activity and learning outcomes.
