PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA AUDIO CHARACTERISTICS OF ORGANISM SONG EDUCATION (CHOSEN) PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA BIOLOGI DI SMPLB-A (TUNANETRA)

Abstract
This research aims to know the feasibility and the effectiveness of audio media “Characteristics of Organism Song Education†(CHOSEN) in biology subject at SMPLB-A (Blindness). This research was conducted in Semarang State University, SLBN 1 Pemalang, and MTs Yaketunis Yogyakarta. The research was a Research and Development (R&D) research design and used one group pretest-posttest design. The result of the study showed that the expert of media and material avowed that CHOSEN was proper with an average of 84.9 % feasibility assessment, the average of classical completeness of class was 100 %, students’ responses were good and very good, and the teachers’ responses as much as 88,6% with a very good responses criteria and teachers stated that CHOSEN is feasible to be used in learning biology for blind students. The conclusion of this research is “Characteristics of Organism Song Education†(CHOSEN) media audio is feasible and effective to be used in teaching learning process of biology subject at SMPLB-A (blindness).

Abstrak
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kelayakan dan efektivitas media audio “Characteristics of Organism Song Education†(CHOSEN) dalam pembelajaran IPA Biologi di SMPLB-A (Tunanetra). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Universitas Negeri Semarang, SLBN 1 Pemalang, dan MTs Yaketunis Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini dirancang sebagai penelitian Research and Development (R&D) yang merupakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan dan menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media audio CHOSEN dinyatakan layak oleh ahli media dan ahli materi dengan rata-rata penilaian kelayakan sebesar 84,9%, rata-rata ketuntasan klasikal kelas sebesar 100%, tanggapan siswa baik dan sangat baik, tanggapan guru sebesar 88,6% dengan kriteria tanggapan sangat baik, serta guru menyatakan bahwa media audio CHOSEN layak diterapkan pada pembelajaran IPA Biologi siswa tunanetra. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah media audio “Characteristics of Organism Song Education†(CHOSEN) layak dan efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPA Biologi di SMPLB-A (Tunanetra).
