PEMBUATAN DAN KARAKTERISASI MAGNET KOMPOSIT BERBAHAN DASAR BARIUM FERIT DENGAN PENGIKAT KARET ALAM

Abstract

The creation of magnetic composite materials using barium ferrite with a natural rubber as a binding material has been successfully carried out. Fabricated Barium ferrite and natural rubber with composition (1-x) + barium ferrite + (x) natural rubber, 0.2 ≤ x ≤ 0.5. Mixing was done at room temperature. Mix was built with a pressure of 3 tons. The samples were tested to determine the density and mechanical elastics. Samples with 50% barium ferrite has great appeal that is given weight up to 1,332 kg, but has a smaller density is 1.79 x 10-2  (kg/m3). This Happen because the larger the binder material, the mechanical strength will be stronger. The more barium ferrite magnets remanence are used then the value will be greater. Composition of 80% barium ferrite magnet remanence value is 0.79 (kG) which is best and has a value of coercivity (Hc) of more than 200 Oe. This proves that the magnets are made including hard magnetic.
