Focus and Scope

The journal focuses on advanced legal and policy analysis related to Counter-Terrorism, National Security Law, and Special Criminal Acts (Extraordinary Crimes).

The journal accepts original research articles that analyze legal issues across the following domains:

  • Criminal Justice System and Counter-Terrorism: Juridical analysis of prevention, investigation, prosecution, and sentencing mechanisms for terrorism offenses. This includes the effectiveness of legal tools, the role of participants in the justice system, and the application of legal principles.
  • National Security Law and Policy: Studies concerning the regulation and enforcement of state security, early detection mechanisms, and non-penal policies designed for prevention and defense against criminal threats. This covers non-conventional threats.
  • Special Criminal Acts and Transnational Crime: Analysis of legal aspects pertaining to serious criminal acts that carry significant national and international implications. This involves crimes related to funding, bioterrorism, and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats.
  • Legal Politics and Legislative Analysis: Critical examination of the legal politics, legislative formation, and policy shifts impacting counter-terrorism regulations within national, regional, and international legal frameworks.
  • Integration of Law and Other Disciplines: Research that integrates legal perspectives with sociological, political, or religious studies to inform policy and legal development in counter-terrorism efforts and national security.
