Efficacité de l’utilisation de la chanson de Louanes pour améliorer la prononciation des étudiants au niveau A2 de l’UNIMED

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Louane’s songs in improving the pronunciation skills of A2-level students. The background of this study is students’ low levels of pronunciation. This study uses a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used in this study were a Pretest, a posttest, and a questionnaire. The research subjects were students in class B-2024. The results of the study show that after using the Louane song as a medium, the students’ average scores increased. The average pretest score was 66.5, and the average posttest score was 82.5. To improve pronunciation mastery of the material “Un Fait Divers,” the use of the Louane song is classified as “Quite Effective” based on the t-test results and N-Gain calculations. Therefore, Louane’s song is an effective tool to help students improve their pronunciation skills. Thus, Louane’s song is an effective learning medium for improving students’ pronunciation skills at the A2 level.
