Abstract
This study aims to analyze the correlation between physiological, psychological, and sociological aspects on the results of Aikido martial arts training in the Tegal and Purwokerto areas. The research method used is a quantitative correlational approach with an ex post facto design. The study population consisted of 110 active Aikido practitioners in two dojos in Tegal and Purwokerto, all of whom were sampled. Data collection was carried out through physiological tests (muscle strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, coordination), psychological and sociological questionnaires based on a Likert scale, and assessment of training results by certified trainers. Data analysis used prerequisite tests (normality, linearity, multicollinearity) and hypothesis testing through partial correlation, multiple correlation, and multiple linear regression. The results showed that three aspects had a positive and significant correlation with the results of Aikido training: psychological (r = 0.603), sociological (r = 0.578), and physiological (r = 0.512). Simultaneously, all three were able to explain 52.4% of the variation in training results (R² = 0.524; p < 0.05). These findings confirm that a holistic approach integrating the physical, mental, and social dimensions is crucial to effective Aikido development. Practical implications of this research include the need to design training programs that balance these three aspects.
