About the Journal
Journal of Values and Character in Counseling is an interdisciplinary peer-review and open-access academic journal. The Journal is published biannually (January and July) by the Department of Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Semarang in collaboration with Asosiasi Bimbingan dan Konseling Indonesia (ABKIN).
The Journal of Values and Character in Counseling provides a means for sustained discussion of relevant issues that fall within the focus and scope of the journal, which can be examined empirically.
The journal publishes research articles covering all aspects of counseling, psychological intervention, guidance, mental health, and coping behavior within the values and character context. The broad range of values and character context published by the journal includes theory, research, and practice on the intersection of religion, spirituality, and ethics in the counseling process, with a particular emphasis on the competent and ethical integration of religion and spirituality into counseling.
