EFFECT OF PLAYING MOBILE LEGENDS BANG BANG ON ENGLISH EDUCATION STUDENTS IN VOCABULARY KNOWLEDGE

Abstract

In this time and age, almost every children, teenagers, and young adults must’ve at least played video games once in their life. Especially, with the easy access of internet, online video games are becoming one of the top played games that the gamers played. Based on the previous studies on this topic, online video games, particularly Mobile Legends Bang Bang, there are a lot of positive and negative effects on playing Mobile Legends Bang-Bang.  The purpose of this study was to show the effect of playing Mobile Legends Bang Bang on English Education students in their vocabulary knowledge. The research design of this study was descriptive qualitative method with the survey and interview as the instruments. The subject for this study consists of 27 English Education students. The data collection was done by distributing the questionnaire to all of the 27 students, while the interview was done by interviewing 5 random chosen students. The findings of this study resulted that majority of the English Education students agreed that playing Mobile Legends Bang Bang have positive impact on their vocabulary knowledge.
