PENGARUH TRAINING UMUM ORIENTASI (TUO) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN OCCUPATIONAL SELF EFFICACY PADA KARYAWAN BARU

Abstract

 

Abstrak. Sebagian besar individu yang memulai masuk dunia kerja belum tahu bagaimana rincian kerja yang akan ditugaskan kepadanya terutama pada individu yang mengalami masa transisi dari pelajar. Sangatlah mungkin individu yang baru masuk dunia kerja merasa tidak mampu karena belum paham dengan apa yang harus dikerjakan ketika bekerja nantinya. Rasa ketidakmampuan dalam hal ini jika ditinjau dari sudut psikologis merupakan bentuk kurangnya keyakinan akan kemampuan dirinya sendiri dan ini dapat menghambat individu untuk meraih kesuksesan di masa depan. Keyakinan akan  kemampuan dan kompetensi dalam menampilkan unjuk kerja disebut occupational self efficacy. PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Serang Mill, Tbk memiliki agenda training umum orientasi setiap bulannya yang dilaksanakan untuk karyawan baru diharapkan dengan adanya training ini dapat meningkatkan occupational self efficacy pada karyawan baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran baik sebelum maupun sesudah dilakukannya training umum orientasi (TUO) terhadap occupational self efficacy dan menguji ada tidaknya pengaruh training umum orientasi (TUO) terhadap occupational self efficacy. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dan dengan desain one group pre-test posttest design dengan pretest 1 kali dan posttest 1 kali. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah training umum orientasi yang dilaksanakan selama 3 hari. Data penelitian diambil menggunakan skala occupational self efficacy dengan koefisien realibilitas sebesar 0,950 dan dari 40 item diperoleh 29 item yang valid. Analisis data menggunakan teknik uji non parametrik wilcoxon signed ranks test dengan bantuan software pengolahan data. Hasil uji wilcoxon signed ranks test diperoleh nilai Z = -3,927 dengan tingkat signifikansi (sig (2-tailed)= 0,000) kurang dari α 5% maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian ini terdapat perbedaan occupational self efficacy  sebelum dan sesudah diberikan training umum orientasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa training umum orientasi (TUO) dapat meningkatkan occupational self efficacy pada karyawan baru.

 

Abstract. Most individuals who embark on entering the workforce do not yet know how the details of work will be assigned to them, especially on individuals who are experiencing a transition from the learner. It is possible that individuals who are new to the workplace feel inadequate because they have not understood what to do when working later. Disability in this case if viewed from a psychological point of view is a form of lack of confidence in his own ability and this can hinder individuals to achieve success in the future. The belief in the ability and competence in performing performance is called occupational self efficacy. PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Serang Mill, Tbk has a general orientation training agenda every month for new employees expected with this training can increase occupational self efficacy in new employees.

The aim of this research is to know the description before and after the general orientation training (TUO) to occupational self efficacy and to test whether there is influence of general training orientation (TUO) to occupational self efficacy. This research uses experimental quantitative research type and with one group pre-test posttest design design with pretest 1 time and posttest 1 time. The treatment provided is a general training orientation that is carried out for 3 days. The research data was taken using occupational self efficacy scale with realibility coefficient of 0.950 and from 40 items obtained 29 valid items.

Data analysis using non parametric test technique wilcoxon signed ranks test with the help of data processing software. Wilcoxon signed ranks test results obtained Z = -3,927 with significance level (sig (2-tailed) = 0,000) less than α 5% it can be concluded that this study there are differences in occupational self efficacy before and after being given general training orientation. Based on the result of research can be concluded that general training orientation (TUO) can increase occupational self efficacy in new employees.
