Violence Awareness dan Partisipasi Guru dalam Pengembangan Sekolah Ramah Anak

Abstract

Abstrak. Rentetan kasus kekerasan terhadap anak silih berganti menjadi berita di berbagai media massa. Kekerasan tersebut dapat terjadi di berbagai tempat, termasuk di sekolah.Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan idealnya menjadi tempat yang aman untuk mengembangan berbagai ketrampilan dan nilai, serta bebas dari bermacam kekerasan. Oleh karenanya lembaga pendidikan dituntut untuk memberiperhatian terhadap pengembangan nilai-nilai ideal dalam kehidupan. Lembaga pendidikan juga diharapkan mampu memberi kontribusi nyata dan bermakna dalam mendukung strategi pencegahan kekerasan.Dalam hal ini, salah satu upaya pemerintah terkait dengan optimalisasi fungsi lembaga pendidikan dalam mencegah kekerasan terhadap anak adalah melalui pengembangan Sekolah Ramah Anak (SRA). Pengembangan SRA ini membutuhkan kesadaran dan partisipasi guru sebagai agen pengembangan SRA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran violence awareness dan partisipasi guru terhadap pengembangan SRA pada guru sekolah dasar di Kota Semarang, serta untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara violence awareness dan partisipasi guru terhadap pengembangan SRA pada guru sekolah dasar di Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional melibatkan 184 guru Sekolah Dasar di Kota Semarang sebagai respondennya.  Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala violence awareness dan skala partisipasi guru terhadap pengembangan SRA. Dalam penelitian ini, data dianalisis menggunakan prinsip-prinsip statistic deskriptif dan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat violence awarenessberada pada kategori tinggi, partisipasi guru berada pada kategori tinggi serta ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara violence awareness dengan partisipasi guru dalam pengembangan sekolah ramah anak, Violence awareness memberikan kontribusi sebesar 7,8% pada partisipasi guru dalam pengembangan sekolah ramah anak.

Abstract. A series of cases of violence against children alternately became news in various mass media. Violence can occur in various places, including at school. Schools as educational institutions should ideally be a safe place to develop a variety of skills and values, and free from various violence. Therefore educational institutions are required to pay attention to the development of ideal values in life. Educational institutions are also expected to be able to make real and meaningful contributions in supporting violence prevention strategies. In this case, one of the government's efforts related to the optimization of the function of educational institutions in preventing violence against children is through the development of Child-Friendly Schools (CFS). The development of CFS requires teacher awareness and participation as agents of CFS development. This study aims to describe violence awareness and teacher participation in the development of CFS on elementary school teachers in the city of Semarang, and to determine whether there is a relationship between violence awareness and teacher participation in the development of CFS on elementary school teachers in Semarang City. This research is a correlational study involving 184 elementary school teachers in Semarang City as the respondents. The measuring instrument used was the scale of violence awareness and the scale of teacher participation in the development of CFS. In this study, data were analyzed using descriptive statistical principles and regression analysis. The results showed that the level of violence awareness was in the high category, teacher participation was in the high category and there was a significant positive relationship between violence awareness and teacher participation in the development of CFS. Violence awareness contributed 7.8% to teacher participation in school development of CFS.
