Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

Imajinasi : Journal of Arts and Design is published by Departement of Art Universitas Negeri Semarang (Semarang State University),  two times a years. The journal has focus:

Research, comprises scholarly reports that enhance knowledge regarding art in general, Fine Art, Art History, Visual Culture, Design Methodology, Design Process, Design Discourse, Design and Culture, Art Critism, Anthropology of Art, Artifact Design, Visual Communication Design, Creative Industry, and other historical, critical, cultural, psychological, educational and conceptual research in visual art and design. This may include articles that report results of  quantitative or qualitative research studies.

Conceptual  Idea,  publishes articles conceptually  relevant to advancing the practice of art and learning, present theories of art, models, or philosophical  position, etc.

Peer Review Process

The policy outlined on this page applies to Imajinasi journals. The following types of contribution to Imajinasi journals are peer-reviewed: Articles, Letters, Resources, Reviews, Perspectives, Progress articles and Insight articles. Correspondence and all forms of published correction may also be peer-reviewed at the discretion of the editors. Other contributed articles are not usually peer-reviewed. Nevertheless, articles published in these sections, particularly if they present technical information, may be peer-reviewed at the discretion of the editors.

For any general questions and comments about the peer-review process, the journal or its editorial policies that are not addressed here, we encourage reviewers to contact us using the feedback links in the box at the top right of each page in the authors & referees' website. Questions about a specific manuscript should be directed to the editor who is handling the manuscript.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
