Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

  1. The author submits the manuscript based on her/his original paper. The manuscript has not been published in any media and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  2. The author is a researcher, professional or scholar who writes an original research paper based on the focus and scope of Forum Ilmu Sosial Journal. 
  3. The manuscript is written in Indonesian or English (4000-6000 words), typed on A-4 paper, with a normal margin border.
  4. The title should represent the content of the manuscript. It consists of no more than 14 words and is written by title case.
  5. The identity of the author consists of name, affiliation, and email. If the manuscript is written by more than one author with a similar affiliation, the address of affiliation no need to be listed separately. Only the corresponding author is listed by the postal address at the bottom line of the article.
  6. Abstract written in English and Bahasa Indonesia with 150-250 words in length. Keywords are written in the Italic style and content of 5 words.
  7. Systematics writing consists of Introduction, Theoretical Framework, Method, Result and Discussion, Conclusion, References. Acknowledgments are addressed to all people or parties involved or assist in the completion of research activities (if any).
  8. The manuscript prefers indirect citation (paraphrasing). The citation comes from the primary source of data - depth interviewed, mentioned in the paragraph and references.  
  9. The manuscript aimed to use 80% primary resources, currently 10 years of publications, and at least 20 items. The references come from journals listed with URLs or DOI. 
  10. Reference and citation style complies with American Psychological Association (APA) 6th Edition and used Mendeley reference tool.
  11. Table, figure, graphic, and chart in the manuscript must be mentioned in the discussion of the paragraph.  
  12. The author writes paragraphs systematically. It avoids the use of dot points, aggregation, or sequential numbering downwards but is written as a part of the paragraph.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Author understand Publication Ethics. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (free plagiarism) and suitable with the template.
  2. The submission file is in Ms. Word or RTF document file format. Ensure to remove the identity and affiliations of the author (blind review).
  3. The manuscript used 80% primary resources and currently has 10 years of publications. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is Palatino Linotype font type. Citation style, figures, and tables are written based on author guidelines.
