PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI KERJA PADA FRESH GRADUATE MELALUI PEMBENTUKAN MOTIVATIONAL CLIMATE

Abstract

Abstrak. Upaya untuk meningkatkan motivasi pada pegawai baru dapat dilakukan dengan membentuk iklim dalam organisasi yang memotivasi. Situasi organisasi menjadi salah satu hal yang penting untuk menciptakan kinerja yang maksimal bagi pegawai. Persepsi pegawai mengenai situasi lingkungan kerja yang ditekankan melalui kebijakan, penerapan dan prosedur yang akan memunculkan kriteria mengenai keberhasilan dan kegagalan, selanjutnya akan memprediksi hasil kerja pegawai dikenal dengan namamotivational climate.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan gambaran motivational climate pada pegawai baru dalam organisasi yang baru terbentuk yang terdiri dari dua dimensi motivational climate yaitu, mastery climate dan performance climate. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling, melibatkan pegawai baru pada perusahaan baru di Pangandaran, Jawa Barat sejumlah 90 orang. Pengambilan data menggunakan Motivational Climateat Work Questionnaire (MCWQ)yang diadaptasi dari Nerstad, Roberts, & Richardsen (2013). Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan non-eksperimental kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian menggambarkan bahwamotivational climate yang terdapat pada organisasi berada pada kategori favorable. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa persepsi pegawai baru terhadap kebijakan, penerapan dan prosedur dalam perusahaan sudah mendukung pegawai baru tersebut dalam mencapai tujuannya dan dapat meningkatkan motivasi kerja mereka.

 

Abstract. An Efforts to improve motivation in new employees can be done by creating a motivation climate at organization.The situation of the Organization become one of the things that are important to creates maximum performance for the employees. Employees perceptions about the situation of the working environment who emphasized through of policy, practices and procedures that will bring up the criteria regarding the successes and failures, will predict the results of the work of employees is motivational climate. The purpose of this research was to get a description of motivational climate on fresh graduate employees in new organization at Pangandaran West Java. Sampling techniques of the research was stratified random sampling techniques at 90 fresh graduate employees. The data retrieval used the Motivational Climate at Work Questionnaire (MCWQ) from Nerstad, Roberts, & Richardsen (2013). The design of these studies used non-experimental quantitative. The results of this study shows that the motivational climate in the organization is in the favorable category. Fresh graduate employee‟s perception in new organization service towards policy, application and procedure has supported new employee in reaching their goal and can improve their work motivation.
