The Effect of Marriage Patterns on Fertility in DKI Jakarta Province Analysis of the 2002/03 and 2017 IDHS Results

Abstract


Pembangunan kependudukan dan keluarga berencana di Provinsi DKI Jakarta telah berhasil menurunkan angka fertilitas total (total fertility rate/TFR) hingga lebih rendah dari replacement level (1,9 anak per perempuan) pada Survei Demografi dan Kesehatan Indonesia (SDKI) 1994. Akan tetapi, SDKI periode berikutnya memperlihatkan adanya sedikit kenaikan TFR, menjadi 2 anak per perempuan pada pada SDKI 1997 dan 2,24 pada SDKI 2017. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi determinan antara, khususnya pola perkawinan, terhadap fertilitas di Provinsi DKI Jakarta dengan menggunakan konsep dekomposisi fertilitas. Data yang digunakan adalah hasil SDKI 2002/3 dan 2017 dengan unit analisis wanita umur 15-49 tahun. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terjadi sedikit peningkatan pengaruh pola perkawinan terhadap pembatasan fertilitas di Provinsi DKI, dari 14% atau mencegah terjadinya 1,89 kelahiran pada SDKI 2002/03 menjadi 19% atau mencegah terjadinya 2,1 kelahiran pada SDKI 2017.
