Abstract

Rats and shrews have important role in ecosystem. Mount Ungaran as one of natural habitat for rats and shrews is being disturbed. There is no sufficient data about rats and shrews diversity in Mount Ungaran. This research aim to know rats and shrews diversity in Mount Ungaran. This research is conducted in three area, primary forest, tea plantation, and the border between primary forest and tea plantation. Single Capture Live Trap is setted in a transect to collect data. The result show that there are five species of rats and two species of shwrews live in Mount Ungaran. The highest rats diversity is occured in the border between primary forest and tea plantation beside highest shrews diversity is occured in tea plantation
