KEANEKARAGAMAN JENIS KUPU-KUPU (LEPIDOPTERA: RHOPALOCERA) DI CAGAR ALAM ULOLANANG KECUBUNG KABUPATEN BATANG
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aimed to know the biodiversity of butterfly (Lepidoptera: Rhopalocera) of Ulolanang Kecubung Nature Preserve (NP) at Batang regency. Sampling method that used is line transect method in secondary forest and meadow areas of Ulolanang Kecubung NP. Monitoring data are include butterfly species and number of each species. Data is analyzed with Shanon-Wiener biodiversity index (H’), Margalef richness index (DMg), evenness index (E) and Simpson domination index (D). The result show that are recorded 121 butterfly species that consist of five Rhopalocera families. Data analysis result showed that the biodiversity index of secondary forest area is higher (H’= 3,93) than meadow area (H’= 3,08). The butterfly family that has the greatest number of species in both areas is Nymphalidae (54 species), in the meantime the family which has the greatest number of butterfly individual is Pieridae (461 individual).
