PENGGUNAAN MEDIA FILM UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR KOMPETENSI DASAR SERVICE ENGINE DAN KOMPONEN-KOMPONENNYA (ENGINE TUNE-UP)

Selama ini hasil belajar siswa SMK Negeri 1 Tengaran kelas XI pada Kompetensi DasarService Engine dan Komponen-Komponennya belum tuntas yaitu memiliki angka 70,75,sedangkan minimal angka pencapaian hasil ketuntasan nilai belajar siswa adalah 75.Faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa salah satu diantaranya kurangnyamedia yang memadai sebagai sarana pembelajaran. Media Film adalah cara menghasilkanatau menyampaikan materi dengan penggunaan mesin-mesin mekanis dan elektronikyang menyajikan pesan-pesan audio dan visual. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalahadakah peningkatan hasil pembelajaran siswa setelah menggunakan media Film, terhadappenguasaan materi Kompetensi Dasar Service Engine dan Komponen-Komponennya (EngineTune-up) program keahlian teknik kendaraan ringan. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitianini adalah metode eksperimen dengan Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi dalampenelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI TKR, terdapat tiga kelas untuk yang mengambil jurusanTKR dan jumlah populasinya sebanyak 114 siswa. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 37 siswakelas XI TKR 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 37 siswa kelas XI TKR 2 sebagai kelas control.Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes, analisis data menggunakan statistik deskripsidan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil uji t nilai post-test kompetensi dasar service engine dan komponen-komponennya (engine tune-up) ternyata ada peningkatan hasil belajar service engine dankomponen-komponennya (engine tune-up) setelah menggunakan media film sebagai mediapembelajaran. Kepada para pengajar disarankan untuk mencoba menerapkan pembelajarandengan media film karena terbukti melalui penggunaan media film dapat meningkatkan hasilbelajar kompetensi dasar service engine dan komponen-komponennya (engine tune-up) siswa.

During the time, the academic result of students’ competence of SMK N 1 Tengaran in the basic competence of Service Engine and its components is low. The students can only achieve 70,75 of the minimum score 75; which must be covered. There are several factors affect the students achievement, including learning media. The available media in the school is insufficient to be used. Film is a media to convey learning materials about the using of mechanical and electronical machines which provide audio-visual message. The problem of this study is the improvement of students’ achievement majoring simple-vehicle engineering (Tehnik Kendaraan Ringan) in mastering basic competence of service engine and its components (engine tune-up) after using film as a teaching and learning media. In this study, the researcher applied experimental method with Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population was the students in Grade XI majoring TKR which consists of 114 students devided into three classes. The sample covered 37 students in grade XI TKR 1 as experimental group and 37 students in grade XI TKR 2 as control group. Data were collected through tests. The data were analyzed using statistic description and t-test. Based on t-test of post test result about basic competence of service engine and its components, the improvement occured after the students were given film as a media in teaching and learning process, especially in the basic competence of service engine and its components (engine tune-up). Finally, the researcher suggests to all teachers to apply teaching and learning process using film as a media to improve the students competence in mastering the basic competence of service engine and its components (tune-up).
