PENGARUH STROKE UP TERHADAP PERFORMA MESIN DAN EMISI PADA YAMAHA JUPITER Z DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN VARIASI BAHAN BAKAR

Abstract
Perubahan panjang langkah torak yang bisa dilakukan dengan melakukan Stroke Up merupakan salah satu cara untuk memperbesar kapasitas mesin suatu kendaraan sehingga dapat menghasilkan performa mesin yang semakin besar juga dan penggunaan bahan bakar dengan angka oktan yang tinggi dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan kompresi mesin dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap torsi, daya dan emisi gas buang (CO dan HC) yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan panjang langkah standar 57,9 mm dan panjang langkah modifikasi 63,9 mm dengan variasi bahan bakar premium, pertalite, pertamax, dan pertamax plus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat adanya pengaruh dari perpanjangan panjang langkah torak (stroke) terhadap torsi, daya dan emisi gas buang (CO dan HC). Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan panjang langkah modifikasi 63,9 mm dan bahan bakar pertamax merupakan hasil yang baik terhadap torsi, daya, dan emisi gas buang. Masing-masing hasil torsi dan daya tersebut bernilai 9,61 N.m, 6,81 kW serta masing-masing hasil emisi gas buang (CO dan HC) bernilai 0,48% dan 151 Ppm.
