PENGARUH JARAK PENYEMPROTAN SPRAY GUN MERK MEIJI DAN KENTARO TERHADAP KUALITAS HASIL PENGECATAN DENGAN TIPE CAT SOLID

Abstract
Jarak penyemprotan berpengaruh terhadap hasil pengecatan. Spray Gun merk Meiji dan Kentaro berpengaruh terhadap hasil pengecatan. Cat yang digunakan pada penelitian ini jenis polyurethane merk Blinken dengan thinner yang sejenis digunakan untuk mengetahui kekilapan dan kualitas hasil pengecatan. Variasi jarak penyemprotan 10 cm, 14 cm, 18 cm, 22 cm dan di uji kekilapan menggunakan glossmeter. Hasil penelitian bahwa jarak penyemprotan berpengaruh terhadap hasil pengecatan. Spray Gun berpengaruh tehadap kualitas pengecatan. Spray Gun merk Meiji pengkabutan cat lebih halus dibandingkan Spray Gun merk Kentaro maka Spray Gun Meiji mampu menghasilkan daya kilap terbaik. Berdasarkan pengujian kekilapan cat solid merk Blinken memiliki daya kilap dan kualitas hasil pengecatan cukup baik. Kekilapan terbaik menggunakan Spray Gun Meiji pada jarak penyemprotan 22 cm dengan hasil kekilapan 71.4 Gloss Unit. Spray Gun merk Kentaro mampu menghasilkan kekilapan terbaik pada jarak penyemprotan 18 cm dengan hasil kekilapan 64.3 Gloss Unit. Jarak penyemprotan yang terlalu dekat dapat menimbulkan lelehan (runs) dan apabila jarak penyemprotan telalu jauh mengakibatkan lapisan cat yang menempel pada panel menjadi berbintik dan kasar.
