PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI MENGATASI GANGGUAN REGULATOR SISTEM PENGISIAN DENGAN PENERAPAN ALAT PERAGA SISTEM PENGISIAN BERBASIS KERJA RANGKAIAN

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa dalam mengatasi gangguan regulator sistem pengisian pada mata kuliah praktik kelistrikan engine pada Jurusan Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Semarang. Peneli-tian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen semu/Quasi Eksperiment dengan pola pre test - post test one group design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Teknik Mesin D3 Universitas Negeri Semarang angkatan 2009 yang mengikuti mata kuliah Praktik Kelistrikan Engine sebanyak 40 mahasiswa. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata – rata hasil belajar pada kelompok kontrol dengan rata-rata hasil pre-test sebesar 59,80 dan post-test sebesar 66,60 mengalami peningkatan sebe-sar 11,4%. Kemudian pada kelompok eksperimen dengan rata-rata pre-test sebesar 63,05 dan post-test sebesar 78,20 mengalami peningkatan sebesar 24,03%. Pening-katan kompetensi pada kelompok eksperimen masuk dalam katagori “kurang sig-nifikan”, karena dalam penyampaian materi kurang maksimal dan pada alat peraga masih belum sempurna dalam menerangkan materi khususy mengatasi gangguan regulator sistem pengisian.
This study aims to determine the improvement of student competence in treating regulator charging system on the course engine electrical practices at the Depart-ment of Mechanical Engineering, State University of Semarang. This research uses quasi-experimental design with the pattern of pre test - post test one group design. The subject of this study were students of Mechanical Engineering, State University of Semarang D3 generation that followed 2009 subjects Engine Electrical Practice as much as 40 students. The results of data analysis showed the mean - mean learning outcomes in the control group with an average pre-test results of 59.80 and 66.60 at post-test increased by 11.4%. Later in the experimental group with an average of 63.05 pre-test and post-test of 78.20 an increase of 24.03%. Increased competence in the experimental group included in the category of ”less significant”, because in less than the maximum delivery of content and the props are still not perfect in explai-ning the material khususy overcome the charging system regulator..
