Grâce à l'avancement et à l'intégration de la technologie dans l'éducation, l'apprentissage sur Internet s'est révélé efficace pour améliorer la capabilité des apprenants et surtout celle en langues étrangères. Cette recherche vise à déterminer si l’utilisation de l’application d’apprentissage des langues étrangères appelée Memrise est efficace dans l’apprentissage du français, principalement pour voir l’amélioration des trois compétences dans la langue française; Compréhension Orale, Grammaire et Vocabulaire. Les participants dans cette recherche sont de nouveaux étudiants de la séction française à Universitas Indonesia qui suivent le cours de français A1 basé sur CECRL et qui n’ayant jamais appris le français comme langue étrangère auparavant. La méthode de recherche utilise l’approche qualitative d’une étude de cas en comparant deux groupes : le groupe d’observation (étant donné la tâche d’utiliser Memrise en dehors de la classe) et le groupe de contrôle (sans leçons supplémentaires). Nous avons conclu que l’utilisation du Memrise comme une leçon supplémentaire dehors de la classe s’est révélé efficace pour améliorer les compétences de l’apprenant en langue étrangère, particulièrement élevées en grammaire.

Abstract

With the advancement and the integration of technology with education, learning through the internet is proven to be effective to raise learner’s capability, and more importantly foreign language ability. This research has a goal to see whether the use of foreign language learning application called Memrise as an additional lesson outside of French class at the university level is effective in French language learning. Mainly to see the improvement of three competence in the French language; Compréhension Orale, Grammaire and Vocabulaire competence. Participants of this research consist of college students who are attending a university French class at level A1 based on CECRL and have never learnt French as a foreign language before. The research method uses the qualitative approach of a case study comparing two groups: the observational group (given the task to use Memrise outside of class as an additional lesson) and the control group (without any additional lessons)..
