Abstract

Mahad merupakan pendidikan pesantren lanjutan yang dilaksanakan pada jenjang pendidikan tinggi. Mahasiswa yang menempuh pendidikan tinggi dapat meningkatkan ilmu keagaamaan melalui Mahad. Tantangan bagi mahasiswa yang menempuh pendidikan di mahad untuk dapat membagi waktu antara kegiatan kampus dan mahad. Padatnya aktivitas acapkali membuat mahasiswa tidak banyak yang mampu untuk bertahan menempuh pendidikan di mahad. Riset ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran psychological well-being (kesejahteraan psikologis) dan self-compassion (welas asih terhadap diri). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah santri mahad salah satu perguruan tinggi islam di kota salatiga. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah adaptasi skala psychological well-being Riff (Riff’s Well Being Scale) dan adaptasi skala self-compassion Neff (The Self-Compassion Scale). Analisis data menggunakan uji-t untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingkat psychological well-being (kesejahteraan psikologis) dan self-compassion (welas asih terhadap diri) jenis kelamin laki-laki dan perempuan. Hasil uji-t pada psychological well-being diperoleh hasil nilai Sig (2)-tailed sebesar 0.015 > 0.05 yang artinya tidak ada perbedaan tingkat psychological well-being antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Hasil yang sama,  hasil uji-t pada self-compassion diperoleh nilai Sig (2)-tailed sebesar 0.471 > 0.05 yang artinya tidak ada perbedaan tingkat self-compassion antara laki-laki dan perempuan


Mahad is an advanced pesantren education carried out at the higher education level. Students pursuing higher education can improve their religious knowledge through Mahad. The challenge for students studying at Mahad is to be able to divide their time between campus activities and Mahad. The density of activities often makes not many students able to survive studying at Mahad. This research aims to determine the description of psychological well-being and self-compassion. The research method used is quantitative. The subjects used in this study were students of an Islamic university in the city of Salatiga. The instrument used is the adaptation of Riff's psychological well-being scale (Riff's Well Being Scale) and the adaptation of Neff's self-compassion scale (The Self-Compassion Scale). Data analysis used a t-test to determine differences in the levels of psychological well-being and self-compassion of the male and female sexes. The results of the t-test on psychological well-being obtained the results of the Sig (2)-tailed value of 0.015 > 0.05, which means that there is no difference in the level of psychological well-being between men and women. The same results, the results of the t-test on self-compassion obtained a Sig (2)-tailed value of 0.471 > 0.05, which means that there is no difference in the level of self-compassion between men and women.
