Journal History
JILS was first published in November 2016 to coincide with the 9th Anniversary of the Faculty of Law UNNES. JILS publishes both research and review article, as well as book review. The research article published at JILS is about 5-7 articles each issue, and review article 1-2 articles each issue.
JILS continues to develop into a national and international reputable journal. This is evidenced by 2017, JILS has been indexed by several national and international indexing institutions. In fact, in 2017, JILS has been indexed by HeinOnline, which is one of the international standard journals for legal journals. In addition, JILS also continues to collaborate and develop journals, one of which is the Indonesian Legal Journal Management Association (APJHI), and several editors from various campuses both inside and outside the country, such as Australia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, the Netherlands and Japan .
JILS since its first publication has used the Open Journal System (OJS) system in full, and every article that enters is always through a review stage by experienced legal experts. JILS has also organized several activities, one of which is the International Conference on Indonesian Legal Studies in collaboration with Alantis Press, the University of Southern Australia, Waseda Law School Japan, Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University Brunei Darussalam, and Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia.
At present, JILS has prepared itself for the journal accreditation process of the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, ARJUNA, and an index of several internationally reputed indexing institutions.
