SMCJ Summary, Focus & Scopes

Sports Medicine Curiosity Journal (SMCJ) is an open-access journal with a double-blind peer review. SMCJ publish not only human study but also animal study. It is a special platform for sports scientists, nutritionists, physiologists, medical practitioners, sports practitioners, students, and lecturers who would like to publish their scientific works. SMCJ aims to provide holistic information about sports medicine, it covers sports medicine-related topics such as exercise biochemistry, exercise physiology, sports nutrition, exercise therapy, and sports psychology both in elite sports and sports for all. Therefore, it is expected to bring beneficial information to a big audience at the international level.

Sports Medicine Curiosity Journal (SMCJ) is the first sports medicine journal in Indonesia published by Universitas Negeri Semarang, Faculty of Sports Science, Department of Sports Science, Sekaran Campus, Gunungpati District, Semarang, Indonesia. SMCJ was Established In 2022, e-ISSN: 2962-6382 p-ISSN: 2962-6374. The journal is published only online and printed by request. SMCJ published eight articles per issue, two times a year in May and October. SMCJ publishes original articles and reviews articles in five fields as follows:

1. Exercise Biochemistry

2. Exercise Physiology

3. Sports Nutrition

4. Exercise Therapy

5. Sports Psychology

SMCJ started a collaboration with the ASEAN Council of Physical Education and Sport (ACPES) on the 31st of October 2023. ACPES itself is a sports council consisting of some universities across ASEAN countries. ACPES has annual scientific meetings with university members as follows: 1) Kasetsart University (KU, Thailand), 2) Mahasarakham University (MSU, Thailand), 3) Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT, Philippines), 4) National Institute of Education (NIE) Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), 5) Srinakharinwirot University (SWU, Thailand), 6) STOK/College Bina Guna Medan (Indonesia), 7) The Institute of Technical Education (ITE, Singapore), 8) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES, Indonesia), 9) Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM, Malaysia), and 10) Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM, Malaysia)
