Abstract
The exploitation of children as hawkers generally occurs at school age children. Exploitation at school-age children can interfere with various aspects of children's education, from cognitive, affective to psychomotor aspects. Therefore, this study focuses on examining the impact of education on children who are exploited as hawkers in Palembang City. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The method of selecting subjects using purposive sampling. The data used in this study are primary data. The techniques used in collecting data from the subject are observation and interview techniques. Research results The exploitation of children as hawkers has an impact on children's education. The level of education of children who are exploited tends to be low or even children have the opportunity to drop out of school, The literacy rate of exploited children tends to be low, Cognitive aspects of children's education decline and children have difficulty competing with other children in school for achievement, The affective aspect shows that children who are exploited become temporary and unstable in facing the school and social environment, and the psychomotor aspect shows the tendency of children to have difficulty developing and adapting in an environment because the child's space for self-development is suppressed in order to fulfill the interests of exploiting the child himself.
