Vol. 19 No. 2s (2025): August 2025 Special Issue

The purpose of this special issue of the journal is to present the most recent and innovative research in the field of English language and literature education, with a particular emphasis on the Indonesian context.  The issue, which was published by the Master's Program in English Language and Literature at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) in collaboration with Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) and Universitas Islam Malang (UNISMA), emphasises the collaborative endeavours of scholars, researchers, and postgraduate students to confront critical challenges and opportunities in the teaching and learning of English.

The contributions collected in this volume are indicative of the most recent developments and emerging viewpoints in the field of English education. These include the incorporation of literature, technology, and cultural studies into classroom practices, as well as pedagogical innovations and curriculum development.  Each article offers evidence-based insights that not only enhance theoretical discussions but also have practical implications for policymakers, educators, and learners.  The authors address the changing requirements of English language education in a swiftly changing world by addressing themes such as critical pedagogy, intercultural communication, digital learning environments, and multimodal literacy.
