Article Processing Charges

To support the publication of high-quality, open-access legal scholarship, the Journal of Indonesian Legal Studies (JILS) applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 10,000,000 for each manuscript accepted for publication. Kindly note that editing, typesetting, and final proofreading services are not included in this fee and will be billed separately, if applicable.
 
The APC is charged only after the manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process and received formal acceptance from the Editorial Board. There are no submission fees or review fees for manuscripts under consideration.
 
However, the journal reserves the right to impose administrative or review-related charges on authors who withdraw their manuscripts during the peer-review process or after the peer-review process has been completed. Such charges may be applied to cover editorial and peer-review costs that have already been incurred by the journal.

  • Digital archiving and long-term preservation
  • Abstracting and indexing services
  • Open-access dissemination, ensuring free and immediate access to published articles worldwide

Payment Policy

Authors will receive payment instructions after their manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. Publication will proceed upon confirmation of APC payment. The APC does not influence editorial decisions. All submissions are evaluated solely on the basis of academic merit, originality, relevance, and compliance with the journal’s publication standards.
