Tiga Faktor Bahasa Cinta Berdasarkan Sumber Bukti Empirik pada Individu Yang Telah Menikah di Bali, Indonesia

Abstract
Lima Bahasa Cinta merupakan konsep yang memahami pengalaman merasa dicintai seseorang, namun penelitian yang komprehensif berdasarkan konteks Indonesia belum pernah dilakukan sebelumnya. Penelitian ini mengungkap keunikan pengalaman merasa dicintai individu yang telah menikah di Bali, Indonesia. Studi terbagi menjadi tiga bagian. Studi pertama merupakan uji awal reliabilitas dan penelusuran sumber bukti isi dengan melibatkan penilaian pakar. Studi kedua adalah wawancara dengan teknik Cognitive Interviewing untuk memperoleh sumber bukti proses respon. Studi ketiga adalah survey terhadap empat ratus individu yang telah menikah untuk menguji sumber bukti konsistensi internal. Analisis pakar dan wawancara menunjukkan perspektif yang detil terkait waktu yang dihabiskan bersama keluarga (Family Time) dan pemaknaan terhadap pentingnya nafkah lahir/batin pada relasi suami-istri. Analisis faktor dan measurement invariance menunjukkan tiga faktor khas penyusun bahasa cinta di Indonesia yaitu karakter pasangan, ekspresi rasa sayang, dan waktu yang dihabiskan bersama keluarga. Temuan ini menunjukkan keunikan bahasa cinta orang Indonesia yang berbeda dengan teori asal Lima Bahasa Cinta. Orang Indonesia merasa dicintai tidak terbatas pada perlakuan yang diterima pada diri mereka sendiri namun juga dari penilaian mereka terhadap karakter maupun perlakuan yang diberikan kepada orang lain seperti anggota keluarga.
Five Love Languages discusses the experience of feeling loved; however, a comprehensive study in Indonesian context has never been done previously. This study uncovered the uniqueness of feeling loved by married individuals who lived in Bali, Indonesia. The study involved three different parts. The first study evaluated the initial reliability and obtained the content-based evidence through the expert judgment. The second study was the Cognitive Interviewing to acquire the process-response-based evidence. The third study was a survey toward four hundred married individuals to gather the internal structure-based evidence.The expert judgment and interview analysis showed a more detailed perspective on the time spent with the family (Family Time) and the meaning of the spiritual/physical needs’ fulfillmen’. Factorial analysis and measurement invariance showed that there was three solutions factor of love languages in the Indonesian context. Those factors are feeling loved because of the spouse’s character, expressive affection, and time spent with family. This finding exhibited the uniqueness of Indonesian love languages and its differences to the original Five Love Languages. Indonesian feel loved not restricted to the treatment they receive but also based on their evaluation of their partner’s characters and their partner’s treatments to the others, such as family members.
