HUBUNGAN ANTARA GETARAN MESIN PRODUKSI DENGAN CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara getaran mesin pada pekerja bagian produksi dengan carpal tunnel syndrome industri pengolahan kayu Brumbung Perum Perhutani Unit I Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini merupakan explanatory research dengan pendekatan belah lintang. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh operator mesin bagian produksi sejumlah 43 orang. Sampel yang diambil sejumlah 33 orang yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan  teknik restriksi. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini diolah dengan menggunakan statistik uji chi-square dengan derajat kemaknaan ( ά )  = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden menderita carpal tunnel syndrome 57,6 % dan tidak menderita carpal tunnel syndrome 42,4%. Dari uji statistik didapatkan nilai p untuk hubungan antara getaran mesin dan carpal tunnel syndrome sebesar 0,001 dengan nilai OR sebesar 39.

 

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between machine vibrations on the production workers and carpal tunnel syndrome Brumbung Wood Processing Industry Perhutani Co Ltd. Unit 1 Central Java. This research is an explanatory with a cross sectional approach. The population in the study were all parts of the production machine operators amount of 43 peoples. Samples taken were 33 peoples who obtained using restriction techniques. The data obtained in this study were processed using the chi-square statistic with degrees of significance () = 0.05. The results showed that the majority of the respondents got carpal tunnel syndrome 57.6% and didn’t amount of 42.4%. From statistical tests, p values are determined for the relationship between engine vibration and carpal tunnel syndrome OR of 0.001 with a value of 39.
