ELT Forum: Journal of English Language Teaching (p-ISSN 2252-6706/ e-ISSN 2721-4532) is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by the English Department, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Indonesia, in collaboration with the Association of English Language and Literature Study Programs (APSBSI). The Journal invites submissions that put in theories and methods from all parts of applied linguistics to the learning of English. The journal publishes reports of original empirical studies, theoretical articles, methodological articles, case studies, and book reviews.
Focus and Scope
The aim of this Journal is to promote a principled approach to research on English Language Teaching by encouraging enquiries into the relationship between theoretical and practical studies. The latest innovations in English language teaching among undergraduates, graduates, and postgraduates are the central point of the journal. The journal welcomes contributions in the areas of English education and training as second and foreign languages. As a scholarly forum, specific themes the journal covers can include:
- Approaches, methods, and techniques to English language teaching;
- Multimodal learning;
- Language assessment;
- Computer-mediated English translation of students and teachers.
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to this journal must follow the focus and scope, and author guidelines of this journal. The submitted manuscripts must address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software to do the similarity checking. Editors check the plagiarism detection of articles in this journal by using Turnitin software.
The research article submitted to this journal will undergo double-blind peer review by at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript.
The final decision of article acceptance will be made by Editors according to reviewers' comments. Publication of accepted articles including the sequence of published articles will be made by the Editor in Chief by considering the sequence of accepted dates and geographical distribution of authors as well as thematic issues.
Publication Frequency
Starting from 2021, ELT Forum: Journal of English Language Teaching is published triannually; in March, July and November with ten articles for each edition. It is also published in two versions; printout and electronic.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
