Indonesian Journal of Advocacy and Legal Services (IJALS) is a double blind peer-reviewed journal published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Negeri Semarang. IJALS is published twice a year (biannual), every March and September. IJALS is a Scientific Journal of Law that has specificities in the fields of Legal Services, Community Engagement of Law Sector, Legal Aid, and Advocacy, including criminal law, constitutional law, private law, economic law, human rights law, international law, tax law, Islamic law, customary law, commercial business law, environmental law, street law, legal education, maritime law, trade law. IJALS publishes articles both in Indonesian and English and uses the Open Access Journal (OJS) system. Each edition, IJALS publishes 1-2 Editorial/Current Commentary, 6-15 Original Articles (Research Articles), 3-5 Review Articles, and 1-2 Book Reviews.

PEER REVIEW PROCESS
Submitted manuscripts will be pre-reviewed by the editors, determining whether the manuscript meets to Indonesian Journal of Advocacy and Legal Services’ submission guidelines and requirements. Manuscripts which have fulfilled to the journal’s style and journal policy will be peer-reviewed. Indonesian Journal of Advocacy and Legal Services is a double blind peer-reviewed journal which involves many reviewers of experts in relevant field of laws. Final decision of manuscript acceptance is solely decided by the editors according to reviewers' comment.
 
Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are not allowed. Indonesian Journal of Advocacy and Legal Services uses plagiarism checker to screen articles for detecting plagiarism (Turnitin). Detection of overlapping and similar text is used there and so quotations and appropriate citations have to be used whenever required.
