Abstract

Cyber grooming merupakan salah satu bentuk kekerasan seksual dengan memanfaatkan media virtual.  Teman sebaya berpengaruh besar dalam membentuk karakter remaja, memberikan hubungan positif maupun negatif dalam perkembangannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap keterkaitan antara dukungan dari teman sebaya dengan tingkat pemahaman mengenai cyber grooming pada siswa SMP.  Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian dekriptif korelasional hubungan. Populasi penelitian melibatkan siswa SMP yang berjumlah 768 siswa, mengambil sample 20% dari total populasi secara random sampling dengan mengambil 20% dari total populasi, sebanyak 154 siswa. Instrumen dalam bentuk angket cyber grooming sebanyak 33 item dan dukungnan teman sebaya 23 item dikembangkan dengan skala psikologis (Likert scale) dan teknik analisis data dengan uji korelasi. Temuan dari penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang signifikan  antara dukungan dari teman sebaya dan pemahaman mengenai cyber grooming pada siswa SMP, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,261 yang melebihi nilai r tabel sebesar 0,1572 dan nilai signifikansi dua arah (Sig. 2-tailed) adalah 0,001 yang lebih rendah dari 0,05.


 


Cyber grooming is a form of sexual violence that exploits virtual media. Peer influence plays a significant role in shaping the character of adolescents, contributing both positively and negatively to their development. This study aims to reveal the relationship between peer support and the level of understanding of cyber grooming among junior high school students. It employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational research design. The study population involves 768 junior high school students, with a sample of 20% of the total population selected through random sampling, amounting to 154 students. The instrument used is a cyber grooming questionnaire with 33 items and peer support questionnaire with 23 items, developed using a psychological scale (Likert scale) and data analysis technique with correlation test. The findings of this study indicate that there is a significant correlation between peer support and understanding of cyber grooming among junior high school students, with a correlation value of 0.261 exceeding the table r value of 0.1572, and a two-tailed significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.001, which is lower than 0.05.
