Pancasila and Global Constitutionalism : Preserving Local Values in the Global Era

In today's era of globalization, many foreign cultures have entered Indonesia. As citizens, it is very important to filter these influences so that they do not conflict with the values of Pancasila. This does not mean closing ourselves off from foreign cultures, but as the foundation of the state, Pancasila plays a very important role in social balance. With its five principles emphasizing Godliness, Humanity, Unity, Democracy, and Social Justice, it is able to serve as a bridge between global values and local wisdom. This article discusses the role of Pancasila as the foundation of the Indonesian state in the context of global constitutionalism, which serves as a moral guide and constitutional foundation that supports democratic governance while maintaining Indonesia's cultural identity and demonstrating how Pancasila is able to preserve national values without closing itself off from global developments.
