Vol. 14 No. 1 (2026): Piwulang: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Jawa
The June 2026 issue of the Piwulang Journal presents a variety of cutting-edge studies that enrich the body of research on Javanese language, literature, and culture through a multidisciplinary perspective, featuring contributions from authors in Indonesia, Chile, Australia, and Egypt. This issue highlights innovations in Javanese language learning through the development of socioculturally-based textbooks supported by Instagram Reels, a game-assisted Focus Group Discussion model, and the reflective digital pedagogy model known as "Kaca Benggala". Various learning challenges were also examined, ranging from issues related to Javanese language speaking skills among Generation Z to the use of rice farming terminology, literary works, and local wisdom as contextual learning resources. From a cultural perspective, the articles in this issue explore the philosophy of “Sapa Salah Seleh” as a humanism-based values education, the transformation of local wisdom through an ethnopedagogical approach to environmental education, the representation of love in novel "Iki Ati Dudu Watu" through a stylistic analysis, as well as a structural and anthropolinguistic analysis of the children’s song "Cublak -Cublak Suweng" as a medium for cultural socialization among young children. The article as a whole reflects Jurnal Piwulang’s commitment to presenting innovative, relevant, and globally-oriented research to support the preservation, development, and study of the Javanese language and culture in the contemporary era.
