Teamwork: Studi Indigenous pada Karyawan PNS dan Swasta Bersuku Jawa di Pulau Jawa

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada temuan-temuan budaya barat yang semakin banyak. Perbedaan budaya menjadi tonggak dimana hasil penelitian tidak bisa digeneralisasikan begitu saja. Dunia kerja kita tidak dapat terlepas dari unsur keanekaragaman budaya, kepribadian, persepsi, serta hal-hal lain yang bersumber dari keberagaman daerah asal, pola asuh dan lain-lain yang menyebabkan perbedaan cara dalam bersikap. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perspektif gambaran mengenai teamwork, kepuasan, upaya, faktor pendukung, faktor penghambat serta gambaran mengenai teamwork yang ideal pada karyawan bersuku Jawa. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Indigenous psychology yaitu suatu pendekatan yang menekankan pada studi terhadap perilaku dan cara berpikir seseorang dalam konteks budayanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan survei terhadap partisipan sebanyak 700 orang karyawan PNS dan swasta bersuku Jawa di Pulau Jawa. Peneliti menggunakan alat pengumpul data berupa open-ended questionnaire dengan menerapkan metode analisis data indigenous melalui preliminary coding, category, aksial coding, dan cross-tabulasi. Temuan dilapangan didapat sebanyak 28.47%  subjek menganggap tim kerja adalah sekelompok orang yang saling bekerjasama, sebanyak 33.28% menganggap tim kerja adalah sarana untuk mencapai tujuan, sebanyak 13.85% subjek menganggap tim kersa adalah saling berinteraksi serta sebanyak 15.57% menganggap tim kerja adalah usaha untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaan atau tanggung jawab bersama.

Abstract. The study was based on findings that the more western culture. Cultural differences become a milestone in which the results of the study can not be generalized for granted. World of work we can not be separated from the element of cultural diversity, personality, perception, and other things that come from the diversity of the area of origin, parenting and others that led to the different ways of behaving. The purpose of this study was to determine the picture perspective on teamwork, satisfaction, effort, supporting factors, inhibiting factors as well as the ideal idea of teamwork on employee Java tribes. The approach used in this study are Indigenous psychology is an approach that emphasizes the study of behavior and thinking in the context of one's culture. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with a survey of 700 participants were civil servants and private sector employees, polysyllabic Java in Java. Researchers used data collection tool in the form of an open-ended questionnaire by applying indigenous methods of data analysis through the preliminary coding, category, axial coding, and cross-tabulation. The findings obtained in the field as much as 28.47% of the subjects considered the work team is a group of people working together, as much as 33.28% think teamwork is a means to an end, as much as 13.85% of the subjects considered Kersa team is interacting and 15:57% as much as the team considers the work is an attempt to resolve employment or collective responsibility.
