PENGGUNAAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN GROUP INVESTIGATION UNTUK MENUMBUHKAN SIKAP ILMIAH SISWA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektifitas model pembelajaran Group Investigation dalam menumbuhkan sikapilmiah siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis eksperimen semu dengan desain random-pretest- posttest. Data diperoleh denganmenggunakan angket dan observasi. Data sikap ilmiah siswa antara kelompok investigasi dan Jigsaw, dianalisis denganmenggunakan uji t. Hasil analisis data sikap ilmiah antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol dihasilkan thitung=1,994 danttabel=1,99 berarti thitung > ttabel sehingga dapat dinyatakan sikap ilmiah kelompok investigasi lebih baik daripada kelompokJigsaw secara signifikan. Hal ini didukung oleh data observasi sikap ilmiah kelompok investigasi yakni 4,87% (sedang), 58,53%(tinggi), dan 36,59% (sangat tinggi), sedangkan kelompok Jigsaw 17,5% (sedang), 60% (tinggi), dan 22,5% (sangat tinggi). Hasiltersebut menunjukkan bahwa persentase sikap ilmiah kelas Jigsaw lebih tinggi dari Group Investigation pada kategori sedang dantinggi, sedangkan pada kategori sangat tinggi, persentase sikap ilmiah model pembelajaran group Invvestigation lebih tinggi dariJigsaw. Disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Group Investigation lebih efektif menumbuhkan sikap ilmiah siswa. Disarankanuntuk penggunaan model pembelajaran Group Investigation agar sikap ilmiah siswa dapat ditumbuhkan

 

This research aimed to describe effectiveness of Group Investigation learning model in growing student's scientific attitude. Thisresearch used a quasi experiment with random-pretest-posttest design. The data were gathered by using questioner andobservation. The data of student's scientific attitude between investigation and jigsaw group were analyzed using t-test. The dataanalysis result found that tc = 1.994 and tt=1.99 which means that tc > tt and student's scientific attitude of investigation group issignificantly better than that of jigsaw group. This result was supported by observation data of student's scientific attitude ofinvestigation group, which were 4.87 % (medium), 58.53% (high), and 36.59% (very high), and those of jigsaw group which were17.5% (medium), 60% (high) and 22.5% (very high). It was concluded that group investigation learning model is more effective to beused to grow student's scientific attitude. It is suggested to apply the model in order to grow student's scientific attitude.
