Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi peningkatan aktivitas belajar dan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model
pembelajaran berbasis masalah di SMA Islam Sultan Agung 1 Semarang pada materi Elastisitas Bahan. Penelitian tindakan kelas
ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data hasil belajar kognitif dengan memberi tes tiap akhir siklus. Teknik
observasi untuk mendapatkan data aktivitas siswa dan aktivitas guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model
pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan hasil belajar siswa. Peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar
kognitif sebesar 0.26 atau 26%. Peningkatan rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 0.33 atau 33%.

The study is aimed at acquiring information on improvement of student learning activities and outcome through the application of
problem-based learning model in Sultan Agung Islamic High School Semarang on the elasticity subject. This class action study was
done in two cycles. Data collection of cognitive learning outcomes was done by giving a test at the end of each cycle. Observation
technique was done to collect data of students' and teachers' activities. Results show that problem-based learning method can
increase the learning activity and student learning outcomes. A cognitive learning outcome on average was increased at 0.26 or
26%. Average student learning activity was increased at 0.33 or 33%.
