PENGARUH PEMBERIAN SUSU KEDELAI TERHADAP KEKUATAN OTOT

Abstrak
Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian susu kedelai pada member Fitness Center
Hotel Pandanaran Semarang. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-post test control group
design. Sampel dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kontrol dan perlakuan, untuk kontrol
diberikan program latihan + air putih 350 ml dan perlakuan diberikan susu kedelai sebanyak 600
ml + program latihan yang dapat meningkatkan kekuatan otot dan subjek diukur kekuatan otot
lengan, kekuatan otot kaki dan kekuatan otot punggung sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Uji
hipotesis menggunakan Independent sample t-test, dan paired t test. Hasil penelitian yang didapat
adalah peningkatan kekuatan pada perlakuan lebih tinggi dari pada kontrol, hasil kelompok
perlakuan kekuatan otot lengan 43,08 ± 11,46 kg, kekuatan otot kaki 141,75 ± 13,67 kg, kekuatan
otot punggung 125,00 ± 18,26 kg, hasil kelompok kontrol kekuatan otot lengan 34,66 ± 12,40 kg,
kekuatan otot kaki 132,75 ± 9.90 kg, kekuatan otot punggung 130,58 ± 17,57 kg, hasil
menunjukkan hasil perbedaan yang signifikan kelompok perlakuan lebih tinggi dibandingkan
kelompok kontrol hasil uji independent sample t-test, masing-masing menunjukkan hasil perbedaan
yang tidak signifikan p=0,250 p= 0,221 dan p= 0,601 (p>0,05). Simpulan dari penelitian ini
adalah pemberian susu kedelai tidak dapat meningkatkan perbandingan kekuatan otot antar
kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan, member Fitness Center Hotel Pandanaran Semarang.

Abstract
Muscle strength can be improved by doing exercise. Nowadays, weight training is mostly loved physical
exercise by community. This is shown by increasing number of fitness center in the community. Based on
previous research, soy milk which is consumed after doing exercise can be an effective way to increase muscle
power if it is combined with endurance exercise. This study aims to identify the effect of soy milk on Fitness
Center member of Hotel Pandanaran Semarang in treatment group and exercise program and mineral water
to control group in increasing muscle power. This is pre-post-test control group design. There are two sample
groups which are control group and treatment group. Control group is given exercise program and mineral
water of 350 ml, whereas the treatment group is given soy milk of 600ml and exercise program which may
increase muscle power. Arm muscle power, leg muscle power and back muscle power of the sample are
measured both before and after the given treatment. In addition, hypothesis analysis is conducted using
independent sample t-test and paired t-test. Results show that there is greater increase of power in treatment
group than control group. Treatment group has arm muscle power of 43,08 ± 11,46 kg, leg muscle power of
141,75 ± 13,67 kg, back muscle poer of 125,00 ± 18,26 kg, Meanwhile, control group has arm muscle power
of 34,66 ± 12,40 kg, leg muscle power of 132,75 ± 9.90 kg, and back muscle power of 130,58 ± 17,57 kg, this
finding indicates that treatment group has higher result than the control group. However, based on
independent sample t-test, the difference is not insignificant at p= 0250, p= 0,221, and p=0.601 (p>0,05). It
can be concluded that soy milk can increase the power of arm muscle, leg muscle, and back muscle, of Fitness
Center member in Hotel Pandanaran Semarang.
